...Next up was the
Human League, famed for their '80s mega-hits "Don't You Want Me" and "(Keep
Feeling) Fascination." Strobe laser beams and artificial smoke complemented
the group's synthetic sound. Philip Oakey, Susan Sulley and Joanne Catherall
appeared to be enjoying themselves, and their voices sounded as fantastic in
concert as in the studio. Their repertoire was varied, including the
political statement "The Lebanon," the ballad "Human," and their most recent
hit "Tell Me When." Their catchy lyrics and throbbing beats worked the
audience into a frenzy that didn't subside until the group left the stage...
